Songwriting with Katrina Burgoyne

Australian Singer\Songwriter and current Nashville resident Katrina Burgoyne will share her songwriting process and stories about uprooting from Australia to follow her dream to Music City. Katrina is one of Nashville's newest and most exciting up and coming singer/songwriters and has been a featured performer at Nashville's famed Bluebird Cafe.   

This event is co-hosted by Omaha Girls Rock, Nashville Row Omaha and HI-FI House.

Open to former campers at Omaha Girls Rock.

You must register your student to attend.  Set the number of tickets for student and all accompanying adults.

The informal session will hit on the following from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Hi-Fi House with a Q & A to follow:

  • Katrina's high level song writing process

  • How she works with her songwriting mentorship students\clients

  • How co-writing works (writing with a partner or band)

  • Music business in Nashville (good, bad and ugly)

  • If time allows we may even write a song if someone has one they are working on

  • Q & A (All things Nashville, music business, moving to a new country to follow your dream)

Katrina is a two-time Golden Guitar nominated singer/songwriter.  Her impressive career in the Australian music industry includes a top 10 Australian Country Music ARIA Charting album,  Australian Country Music People’s Choice Award, Australian Songwriters Association Country Song Of The Year, APRA Professional Development Awards, Unsigned Only Country Song Of The Year and two top 10 music videos on Austar / Foxtel Country Music Channel.

Parents:  A supervising adult will need to stay with their participant for the session.  Parking is available in the HI-FI House lot.  If it is full there is additional parking available in the Blackstone District.  We should have everything wrapped up so everyone makes it for the Husker kickoff at 2:30 Saturday afternoon.  We are limiting this to 10 students and their supervising adult(s).
