Unexplained Death is the latest musical project of Omaha singer/songwriter Matt Whipkey. Abandoning the Americana stylings he is known for, Whipkey fully embraces the fuzzed out punk tempos that made him first fall in love with the electric guitar. With the tempos quick and the rock unrelenting, Whipkey has married his melodic instinct with sharp social criticism.

Recorded and released over just a few short months, Unexplained Death has created a timely, brazen, pleading and argumentative record that is as much '2019' as it is '1979'.
